Fairfield Farms Dairy

c. 1925 - 1930s

Fairfield Farms was one of the largest milk producers for the city of Baltimore. They would deliver glass containers like these to stores and homes around the city. When the workers weren't milking cows or delivering milk, they played in a baseball league with other industrial companies from around the city. But they had an extraordinary game on April 6th, 1927.

Yup...the Fairfield Farms club team, the Dairymen, would play head to head against the Baltimore Orioles in a spring training game. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a score for this game. But I have a feeling the Dairymen might have pulled off a win since I see more articles about their amazing scores on the field than in the boardroom. How do you think the 1927 Dairymen would do against the Orioles today?
